A Kansas State University graduate, Scott grew up in Burlington, Kansas, and now lives just north of Bennington with his wife, Kassi, and their two adventurous boys, Leo and Weston. With two dogs, six chickens, and non-stop outdoor activity, life at the Jones household is always on the move!
When he’s not in the field or on the phone, you’ll find Scott and his crew camping, riding side-by-sides in the mountains or desert, or spending time together outside. He’s also a fan of competitive shooting and even competed on a national championship shotgun team while at K-State—a sport that led to a network of lasting connections across the country.
Scott’s proudest achievement? “Definitely Kassi and the boys,” he says. “I buffaloed her into marrying me—and she’s stuck around!”
At Heartland Soil Services, Scott finds fulfillment in both working directly with growers and mentoring the sales team. “I’ve always enjoyed helping producers overcome challenges that increase ROI. Now, I get to guide our team as they grow and deliver those same results to their own customers.”
